Part Time Nappy Free - Learn Elimination Communication to use nappies casually, not full time for years and years!

Part Time Diaper Free

is about to be officially launched...

Tribal Baby

Baby Maven, 5 monthsBaby Jett - 3 monthsWelcome!

I'm so excited that this day has finally come! It's been a while now in the planning, writing, developing and testing to be ready for visitors. It has certainly been more complicated than I thought it would be - and has been a learning curve for sure.

When Maven turned two, (about one week before), I began work on the "Part time Diaper Free" online course.  I have planned the materials to help give people interested in EC a place to visit now and again to pick up a tip in order to build their confidence in EC - to gain a clear sense of how adaptable EC is to their lifestyle - as a way simply to cut their use of diapers down to a manageable level as they develop the skills and confidence in communicating with their baby through elimination communication - 1 less diaper at a time!

My hope is that it will help people feel more relaxed with dabbling in a bit of EC, less intimidated by the concept of being part time diaper free...

Part Time Diaper Free is a 'walled garden' membership site - this means there is nice pretty stuff inside - for members only! The first level of membership is free for anyone to join, and "The 7 Secrets to Developing Your Diaper Free Confidence" will provide you with helpful, useful and thought provoking information. I've had a great time putting them together to help people get started with their EC'ing journey with the right mind-set for success. I believe building and developing your inner confidence is key to practicing EC, and is a reason that plenty of people don't even get started - they are unsure about what EC actually means in practice, and can feel intimidated and get overwhelmed.

Reassuring people that YES! EC is something you ease into, that nappies are integral to your learning and peace of mind, is central to the theme of the "Secrets", which is that any regular person can practice EC with their baby - it is a great option that is flexible, adaptable, easier on the budget, the environment and best of all, allows a wonderful enhancement to the communication between us and our babies.

The second level of membership is an online course, called "Part Time Diaper Free!". It is a unique self-paced learning program, which will guide you on your journey with your baby, providing information, motivation, strategies that are simple, all online in a format that will instantly update as I make improvements to the guide. Best of all, as it is digital, it is great for the environment!

I'd like to thank:

  • Chris for all his help developing the 'techy' website stuff and for listening to me ramble on about my various ideas for the site, finding solutions for issues that popped up and for for supporting me to continue...

  • Belinda for her enthusiasm in listening to me going on and on about "It's getting closer!" and all the bouncing of ideas, encouraging me with it all...

  • Annie for her helpful insights into the 'Secrets' as I have developed them, and for proof reading them for me - still more to go there of course!

  • All the Moms who have shared insights and stories for the site - they have been so exciting to read, and have given me lots of motivation to develop new directions...

  • Maven and Jett - Maven for being the inspiration behind Tribal Baby, and Jett for being the current inspiration for all the exciting fine-tunings of the ideas within that will (I hope!) help many of you to discover the joys of EC as you start (or continue on) the path to reducing your reliance on nappies with your babies!

  • The early testers and checkers and early birds who helped us to pick over and devour the 'bugs' to where we are now - ready to have anyone visit... (I think)

Jett in OneWet Pants at 3 MonthsNow I'd like to introduce Marnie, owner of Noonee Wilga and "OzNappyFree" - the Australian and New Zealand EC discussion forum, and creator of the 'OneWet Pants' to officially open the site... I have a bunch of OWP, worn by Maven in Adelaide and Canberra, and also by Imogen in Australia, New Zealand and China, by Alyiah in Canberra, and now baby Jett... - they've been all over the world and they are a great design, which is still going strong as they are now moving onto the fourth EC'ing babe to be wearing them!

P.S I hope you enjoy your visit today, you'll be one of my first visitors! EC is a niche interest for sure, yet I can't help wonder - what if every baby used just one less diaper a day? What an impact that could have on their bums, their Moms and our environment - wouldn't that be wonderful?

Part Time Diaper Free is a site dedicated to helping you to reduce your reliance on full-time diapers. I'll help you to develop your diaper-free confidence with my fun (and free!) guided tour of part-time elimination communication, the 7 Secrets. EC is a gentle practice helping you deepen your conscious understanding of your relationship with your baby, supporting a secure attachment. Re-discover this ancient and alternative way of managing your baby's hygiene needs, while using diapers as backup* ......YES! Practicing EC means REDUCING your use of diapers gradually. 'No diapers allowed' is not true... * Like using modern cloth diapers, it's also addictive and a lot of fun!
